After 24 months of aging in wood, we are pleased to announce the release of our two iconic wines, CAYAS Syrah Réserve and CHAMARAY Cornalin de Conthey from the 2022 vintage.
These two wines are the result of an exceptional year and the meticulous attention to detail that our winemaker Richard Riand dedicates to the winemaking process. They embody the elegance and strength of our alpine terroir.
CAYAS, the Expression of Rhône and Alpine Syrah
A 2022 Vintage of Great Richness
The 2022 CAYAS vintage, the 28th, can be described as sunny, reminiscent of the years 2018, 2015, and 2003.
An early spring followed by a scorching summer promoted an exceptional concentration of aromas and flavors. The harvest, which took place between September 23 and 30, unfolded in ideal conditions, allowing for the collection of grapes with great aromatic richness.
The 2022 CAYAS Vintage: A Masterpiece in a Bottle
On tasting, the CAYAS 2022 Syrah seduces with its captivating aromas of blackcurrant and violet, enhanced by subtle spices such as Voatsiperifery pepper, star anise, and nutmeg. On the palate, the attack is firm and assured, revealing elegant tannins that give this vintage its warmth and indulgence. The balance between creaminess, freshness, and subtle notes of precious wood makes it a true masterpiece in a bottle. This vintage is an experience not to be missed for all refined wine lovers seeking uniqueness and complexity in a bottle.

CHAMARAY Cornalin de Conthey 2022, a High Couture Parcel Wine
This wine embodies the quest for perfection through a craft-based approach and meticulous attention to detail, revealing a pure expression of the Valais terroir. The first parcel wine from the CHAMARAY estate, this gem comes from a vineyard planted in 2001 in the commune of Conthey. The vinification, followed by 24 months of aging in new 500-liter barrels, allowed for an intense extraction and gentle polishing of the tannins, promoting the perfect balance between power and finesse.
A 2022 Vintage in Limited Edition
This 2022 Cornalin is a "haute couture" wine, a work of art limited to only 3900 bottles, with each bottle reflecting meticulous attention and total adherence to the principles of organic farming. The wine’s color captivates with its deep violet hue, speckled with ruby highlights. On the nose, it reveals an intense and complex bouquet of fresh Morello cherry, ripe black cherry, and delicate touches of sweet spices. On the palate, its silky texture is supported by a tight, refined tannic structure, offering a controlled sense of power. The finish, long and indulgent, brings a touch of freshness and complexity, all in beautiful harmony.
